The Region.
Franciacorta is a land of cultural, historical, and natural heritage in the heart of Lombardy, set along the shores of Lake Iseo, covering an area of about 200 square kilometers that includes 18 municipalities, all in the Province of Brescia: Adro, where Dispensa is located, Capriolo, Cazzago San Martino, Cellatica, Coccaglio, Cologne, Corte Franca, Erbusco, Gussago, Iseo, Monticelli Brusati, Ome, Paderno Franciacorta, Paratico, Passirano, Provaglio d’Iseo, Rodengo-Saiano, and Rovato.
With gentle hills and mosaics of vineyards, this area—framed by Lake Iseo and sheltered by the Lombard Prealps—is a benchmark for the production and marketing of the famous metodo classico sparkling wine, whose quality has been rewarded over the past 30 years with the attainment of DOCG status.
Here the microclimate, tempered by the waters and the hills, creates ideal conditions for viticulture of the very highest quality. Ancient villages, abbeys, and historic villas dot the landscape, weaving together culture, nature, and tradition. It is a region that invites you to slow down, to explore, and to savor, where wine becomes the authentic expression of a unique and refined landscape.
